Select a body for ISO certification
Getting the procedure going
- Fill out the application form – To begin the certification process, you must fill out an application form that requires details about your company and certification requirements.
- Examining the application – The operation team reviews the details provided by you in the application form and assigns the best auditor to conduct the certification audit.
- Audit for initial certification – First certification audit is divided into two stages:
- Document review at stage one – At this stage, the reviewers from the certification body verify whether the documents meet the requirements of ISO certification or not. This is done to check the preparedness for the stage 2 audit.
- Primary audit for Second stage – Here, the consistency between your documentation and the prerequisites of ISO certification is verified. This is done by thorough investigation of reports, records and company practices.
Rounding up the procedure
7. Completing the ISO Certification – Once all the non-conformities are closed and all the findings are noted down in the ISO audit report, the registrar awards you with the required ISO certificate.
8. Surveillance Audits – This is conducted at regular intervals to ensure that the requirements of ISO standards are followed at any point in time.
